What is IdM?

Mentioning Symlabs in the previous post got me to take a quick peek at their web site where I found that my friends had launched a blog last fall and they hadn't told me about it! But there's an excellent entry you should read - especially those fairly new to Identity Management. "Identity Management - the Concepts Behind the Buzzwords," was Felix Gaehtgens (he's a co-founder and the chief architect of Symlabs Directory Extender) first blog entry and it is an interesting look at the IdM concept, at least as seen by a real "directory-head."

You may or may not agree with Felix' take on IdM but it should get you thinking.
