R.I.P. NetWare 4Novell has announced that NetWare 4.2 will no longer be sold after February, 2004, ending 10 years of sales for the network operating system (NOS) that ushered in the modern era of directory-enabled computing. NetWare 4.0 gave us many new features, but the most important was NetWare Directory Services (later "Novell Directory Services" and then "eDirectory" as it went cross-platform).
