Nothing like an overnight success

According to this story in Network World, the first test of an IPv6 network went well recently. Of course, we've been talking about IPv6 for almost 10 years (see Scott Bradner's column from early 1995). Someone want to tell me again how "internet time" is so much faster than real time?
