Talk about a false sense of security! Microsoft (Microsoft details rights management policy) is going to cliam that it "...will be able to enforce protection policies by controlling which users can access specific content and what access rights they are granted. Companies will, for example, be able to restrict content copying, forwarding and printing in applications such as portal, e-mail and word-processing software."

But that's true only if one of two events occur - everyone uses the current Microsoft client software (e.g., Outlook Email client) to view the documents or every producer of client products (such as, say, Lotus or GroupWise) adopts the Microsoft standard. I expect the odds of that occuring are somewhere between zip and nada.
