Citigroup has supposedly decided to block internet transactions that can be identified as gambling. This was done at the request of the Attorney General of New York who is evidently so persuavisive that CitiCorp is "donating" $100K to the state and an additional $400K to anti-gambling groups. Sounds like both blackmail and restraint of trade to me as well as interference in interstate commerce. But somehow I don't think US AG John Ashcroft will be interested in the anti-constitutional qualities of this "agreement".-dak Comments: Post a Comment
